How do I join the beta?

Boop is in private beta through Apple’s TestFlight. There’s no public download yet.

1. Ask the person who invited you to add you as a tester. You’ll get an email invitation from TestFlight.
2. Install TestFlight from the App Store.
3. Open the invitation on your iPhone and install Boop: A Little Nudge.

How do I connect with someone?

One of you opens Your people → Create invitation in Boop and shares the link. The other taps the link (or pastes the code into Boop), checks who it’s from, and accepts. Invitations work once and expire after 7 days. You can remove a connection any time.

Why didn’t a boop make a sound?

Boops are sent as Time Sensitive notifications. Here’s what that means on your phone:

• Silent Mode: with the Ring/Silent switch or Action button set to silent, a boop shows up and vibrates, but doesn’t play a sound. Breaking through Silent Mode needs Apple’s Critical Alerts approval, which Boop doesn’t have yet.
• Focus and Do Not Disturb: Time Sensitive notifications can get through a Focus only if you allow them.
• Receiving device: boops go to one phone or tablet per account. Check Settings → Receive boops on this device on the one you want.
• Paused: if you paused incoming boops in Boop, nothing comes through until you resume.

Let Boop through a Focus

1. Open the iOS Settings app → Notifications → Boop, and make sure notifications and Time Sensitive Notifications are on.
2. Go to Settings → Focus, choose a Focus (such as Do Not Disturb or Sleep), tap Apps, and either add Boop to the allowed apps or turn on Time Sensitive Notifications.
3. Repeat for each Focus you use.

How do I delete my account?

In Boop, go to Settings → Delete account. Your account, connections, and boop history are deleted from the Boop service right away. See the privacy policy for details.
